Gabarito Paralelo Lda. was founded in 2019 by its founder and sole partner, Engineer Matos. Since 1998, its founder has been involved in the construction sector, particularly in the field of safety, and lived in Brazil for almost 9 years to manage a manufacturing unit in the São Paulo region. At the beginning of 2019, upon returning to Portugal, he founded the company Gabarito Paralelo. 

During the years he spent in Brazil, Eng. Matos developed various skills, specializing in the areas of management and finance. Back in Portugal, and with the aim of acquiring specific skills in the real estate sector, he obtained specialization in real estate administration and asset management, where he was introduced to the Passive House concept. The values intended for Gabarito Paralelo began to have a real correspondence; they had been materialized: “houses with Passive House performance.” To deepen his knowledge on the subject, Eng. Matos completed a specialization and is currently a certified Passive House Designer.
Gabarito Paralelo's mission is: to build with the best materials, functional houses with high thermal performance (above the current legal standards) and with a special focus on the comfort and health of the occupants, as well as on the energy efficiency and sustainability of the building.
